Trump Sending MORE Federal Agents to Stop violent Left-Wing Extremists in Portland

VIDEO — Trump Fights Back in Fiery CPAC Speech

( Portland, Oregon, has been one of the worst-hit cities in the United States when it comes to far-left rioting. Ever since the tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Black Lives Matter and Antifa activists have taken to the streets to riot, protest, and destroy federal buildings.

The Washington Post reports that President Donald Trump is sending in even more federal agents to the city to control the ongoing violence, while local Democrat officials show little interest in fighting back against the left-wing rioters.

According to the Post, the U.S. Marshals Service decided last week to deploy another hundred deputy U.S. Marshals to the city of Portland. The personnel started arriving in Portland on Thursday.

The Department of Homeland Security is also looking at sending a further 50 U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials to the city, but a final decision is yet to be made.

The decision to send in federal agents was not one President Trump took lightly. Trump has long said that he would send in the National Guard at the request of Democrat governors, but those requests never arrived. The moment the Trump administration chose to send in federal law enforcement officers, far-left agitators and even politicians began perpetuating a conspiracy theory that agents were arresting people on the street without identifying themselves.

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez perpetuated the conspiracy theory, claiming that federal officers were anonymously taking people off the streets. She was so committed to pushing the disproven claim that she is even putting forward legislation that would require officers to do what they already do.

The legislation would require officers to identify themselves, despite the fact that they already do, and they wear uniforms emblazoned with the word “POLICE” and which also feature unique ID patches.

Further assistance is required in Portland owing to the serious nature of the violence. Portland Police published a photograph of weapons confiscated from violent left-wing rioters on July 27. Among the weapons were Molotov cocktails and loaded rifle magazines.

Far-left extremists are taking to the streets with weapons and destroying buildings, and Democrats are condemning the use of federal agents to stop them.

What does that tell you?
