(PresidentialInsider.com)- Trump complimented Dan Cox’s victory against Kelly Schulz in Maryland’s governor primary.
After early indications of Cox’s victory, the former president took to Truth Social and praised the candidate.
Trump posted that “Dan Cox has won.”
“NBC Fake News called the race, although this time the reporting wasn’t fake (for a change!).”
Cox adds to Trump’s record of candidates with his backing winning primaries. Many of these contenders, including Cox, have openly echoed the president’s assertion that the 2020 election was stolen.
According to Cox’s campaign website, Trump praised Cox and blasted his opponent Schulz, who outgoing Governor Larry Hogan endorsed.
According to Cox’s website, Trump stated that Dan Cox is an America First Patriot running for Governor of Maryland. He said he is a formidable lawyer and savvy businessman and has done tremendous work in the Maryland General Assembly.
Trump said Dan is MAGA all the way, unlike his opponent Kelly Schultz, who was selected by her ‘boss, RINO Larry Hogan, who has been awful for our country and is against the America First Movement.
Hogan was an unusual two-term Republican governor in a predominantly Democratic state. He was forbidden from seeking a third straight term and backed Schulz as his successor.
In his endorsement statements, Trump continued by saying that as a state delegate, Dan stood up to Hogan when he supported and met with Joe Biden. Dan is for cheap taxes, educational choice, and no more lockdowns.
Cox vowed to combat any future lockdowns due to the coronavirus outbreak in his acceptance address.
“We will never again turn our bodies, churches, and companies into a lockdown state.”
In his endorsement statement, Trump said that Cox supports our military, our wonderful vets, and our Second Amendment, which is under attack and is extremely strong on election integrity.
“He battled the Rigged Presidential Election every step and will bring secure Elections to Maryland. Dan Cox gets my full endorsement,” said Trump.
