They’re Trying To Ban Kyle Rittenhouse From College

( Even though Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges brought against him in the infamous shooting case in Kenosha, Wisconsin, some of Arizona State University’s liberal student organizations want him banned from the school.

The 18-year-old Rittenhouse is enrolled in online courses at ASU, but on a non-degree-seeking path as of right now. Still, the student groups are saying they don’t want him to be allowed to take classes at the school.

After being found not guilty of all charges related to the shootings of three men — two of whom died — during the August 2020 protests in Kenosha, Rittenhouse said he was focused on schooling and his future. He did express eventually wanting to attend classes in-person.

If the student groups have their way, he will never be allowed to do so at ASU.

Four groups at the university — MECHA de ASU, Multicultural Solidarity Coalition, Students for Justice in Palestine, and Students for Socialism — are all demanding that officials with the university “withdraw” Rittenhouse from the school.

Through a joint statement, the groups railed against Rittenhouse as well as “white supremacy.

On Friday, the Students for Socialism ASU tweeted:

“Join us and rally against racist murderer Kyle Rittenhouse being permitted on our campus — [December 1] at 3:30 outside the Nelson Fine Arts Center on campus.”

In subsequent tweets, the group shared demands that they have on the university. In addition to banning Rittenhouse from attending ASU, the groups also want the school to:

“Reaffirm support for the multicultural center on campus as a safe space from White Supremacy [and] Redirect funding from ASU PD to support the multicultural center and establishment of a care center on campus.”

The group further stated:

“Even with a not-guilty verdict from a flawed ‘justice’ system — Kyle Rittenhouse is still guilty to his victims and the families of those victims. Join us to demand from ASU that those demands be met to protect students from a violent blood-thirsty murderer.”

The group describes itself as “a socialist, revolutionary Marxist club.” Its mission is to “end capitalism, and fight for socialism,” a scary proposition that teenage students are trying to lead.

A spokesperson for the group told Fox News their ultimate goal is to let the administration at Arizona State University know they don’t feel safe with a “mass shooter” being admitted to study at the same school as them. The spokesperson explained in more detail:

“Let the ASU administration know that we as the ASU community do not feel safe knowing that a mass shooter, who has expressed violent intentions about ‘protecting property’ over people, is so carelessly allowed to be admitted to the school at all. Our campus is already unsafe as is, and we would like to abate this danger as much as possible.”

These leftist organizations may be in the minority about their thoughts regarding Rittenhouse at the school, though. The College Republican United sent a tweet on Sunday that read:

“@ASU should suspend the student org and individuals involved in this harassment campaign against the student.”
