RINO GOP Leaders Are Meeting To Stop Trump From Winning 2024

(PresidentialInsider.com)- Some former officials in the Trump administration are getting together to try to stop their former boss’ political efforts ahead of both the midterm elections later this year and the 2024 presidential election.

CNN recently reported that roughly three dozen of these former officials had a conference call recently, where they discussed ways that the group could fend off former President Donald Trump’s efforts to “erode the democratic process.”

The group could only agree on one main point, though — that they’re not sure exactly how they should attack the issue. They also all seemed to agree that they were far behind where they should be, as Trump has already done quite a lot of work supporting midterm candidates and setting the stage for his own possible run for the White House in two more years.

CNN reports that some of the members of the group include Anthony Scaramucci, a former adviser for Homeland Security and counterterrorism to former Vice President Mike Pence; Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former communications director for the White House; Oliva Troye, a one-time security official with the Department of Homeland Security; and Chris Krebs, the former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

An anonymous participant in the conference call told CNN that what struck them was the sight of “a lot of faces I had not seen speaking publicly about why Trump is dangerous, people who had not previously spoken out who were now willing to speak out and share their perspective.”

The leader of the call was apparently Miles Taylor, who once served as the chief of staff at the DHS. He’s been a very vocal opponent of Trump’s since leaving his post, and even wrote a book called “Anonymous” about the presidency.

Taylor said the participants on the call were “overflowing with ideas” about how the group could be most effective in achieving their goal of stopping Trump. One suggestion was to shine light on the corporate contributions Trump has made in an effort to get him to lose the primary election, first and foremost, or at least the general election.

One of the participants on the call told CNN:

“We’re still trying to figure out what it is. Outcomes are key … This cannot just be a professional trolling operation, putting out ads like the Lincoln group.”

The participant was referring to The Lincoln Project, a group of Republicans who don’t support Trump, that put out many ads that targeted Trump during his re-election campaign.

Taylor agreed with what that anonymous participant said. He told CNN:

“We all agreed passionately that letters and statements don’t mean anything. The two operative words are ‘electoral effects.’ How can we have tangible electoral effects against the extremist candidates that have been endorsed by Trump?”

Trump has been very active since leaving the White House in endorsing candidates for both the upcoming midterm elections and also for state elections for governor.

So, if the group wants to have an impact, it better start acting quickly and decisively.
