Putin’s Military Is Running Out Of Steam Amid Invasion

(PresidentialInsider.com)- Russia’s onslaught in Ukraine might be running out of steam according to British officials. The head of the British foreign intelligence service said that Russia will have a hard time maintaining its force on Ukraine at the current pace, handing over an opportunity for Ukraine to push them back in the coming months, Jack Bucky reported in 1945.

Richard Moore, the chief of the MI6 Secret Intelligence Service, dismissed Russia’s gains in the east as tiny,” and asserted that Russia has epically failed in the last five months after it has failed to conquer Kyiv and central Ukraine.

“Our assessment is that the Russians will increasingly find it difficult to find manpower and materiel over the next few weeks,” Moore said a speech at the Aspen Security Forum in which he called the invasion the most aggressive act since World War Two. He also asserted that due to limited resources of European energy supplies, which will only get worse as winter progresses, Russia may pause its operations, effectively giving Ukraine the chance to retaliate. Yet, he continues, the war will not be over anytime soon.

Contrary to Moore’s claims, however, Russia has made significant advances in Luhansk Oblast this month, where they control every major population center, “including all cities in the region, and is presently working to fortify its defenses on the border of the self-style people’s republic,” Buckby reports.

Russia also reportedly claims that its military campaign is expanding, putting into question the veracity of British intelligence. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told RIA Novosti last week that liberating the separatist regions were not solely the Russian mission any longer, but they are refocusing their resources toward central Ukraine.

“The geography is different now. It is not only about the DNR and LNR,” Lavrov said of the two separatist regions of Ukraine, Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic. “But also the Kherson region, the Zaporizhia region and a number of other territories,” he continued. “This process is continuing, consistently and persistently.”
