(AmericanPoliticalDaily.Com)- Fred Fleitz, the former National Security Chief of Staff, said on Wednesday that former CIA Director John Brennan ignored information that suggested Hillary Clinton was the preferred candidate of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Fleitz, who is also former CIA agent, claimed intelligence was made available to Brennan showing that the Russians preferred the Democratic candidate was purposely buried.
Fleitz said Brennan was the “most politicized intelligence chief in American history” in an opinion piece published at Fox News. In the piece, he discussed a report that was released by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday which supports the theory that Russia meddled in the 2016 election.
Fleitz cast doubt on the certainty of the report’s conclusion that Russians worked to promote the candidacy of Donald Trump – a myth perpetuated by the Democrats since the early days of the Trump administration.
The document was released in an extremely edited form, and did not point to any recently declassified reports that suggest Putin supported Trump, Fleitz explains.
He also showed how the report contradicts the findings of the House Intelligence Committee from March 2019, which accused the U.S. intelligence community (some of which supports the Putin-Trump myth) of being biased against the president. Fleitz said that the committee didn’t follow the proper procedures during their investigation and did not base their conclusions on sufficient intelligence sources, meaning their assertion that Vladimir Putin supported Trump is still without merit.
“The Senate Intelligence Committee report falsely claims that ‘all analytical lines are supported with all-source intelligence’ and that analysts who wrote the intelligence community assessment consistently said they ‘were under no politically motivated pressure to reach specific conclusions,’” Fleitz wrote.
The most shocking part of the article, however, is the part where he explains how members of the House Intelligence Committee discovered the exact opposite of the usual line that President Vladimir Putin wanted Trump in power. Instead, he says, they discovered ample evidence that Russia interfered in the election to help the chances of failed candidate Hillary Clinton.
“More gravely, they said that [then-] CIA Director John Brennan suppressed facts or analysis that showed why it was not in Russia’s interests to support Trump and why Putin stood to benefit from Hillary Clinton’s election. They also told me that Brennan suppressed that intelligence over the objections of CIA analysts,” he said.
