(PresidentialInsider.com)- Far-left New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is looking to build up her “squad” of extremist Democrat colleagues, supporting the candidacy of far-left Nina Turner in her effort to become the next representative for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District seat.
Over the weekend, Ocasio-Cortez spoke to a crowd in Cleveland and asked them to send Turney to Congress in the upcoming special election. It wasn’t the first time she endorsed the candidate, however, having thrown her weight behind her campaign back in March.
“We need Nina. I need Nina,” she said during the rally, asking the crowd to “please send me Nina.”
If AOC needs Nina…then it sounds like the American people could probably do without Nina.
The special election Ohio will take place on August 3, and many candidates working to take the Democratic nomination. Nina Turner is up against former Ohio Rep. John E. Barnes Jr., who represented District 12. Shontel Brown, currently serving as a councilwoman for Cuyahoga County’ 9TH Council District, is also vying for the seat.

If Turney wins the seat, as AOC hopes, it’s all but certain that she will become the newest member of AOC’s “squad” in the House of Representatives. It currently consists of six Democratic members of Congress, including Cori Bush from Missouri, Rashida Tlaib from Michigan, Jamaal Bowman from New York, and Ilhan Omar from Minnesota. They are the most radically left-wing members of Congress and are at least in part responsible for the radical shift leftwards in the party as a whole.
Speaking to WKYC, AOC said that it’s clear that Nina is the candidate that “answers to the people of Ohio” and that she “understands this community’s needs.”
If Ohio’s needs are Critical Race Theory and socialism, then she’s right. But something tells us that’s not the case…
