(PresidentialInsider.com)- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is still throwing a tantrum over Democrat Senator Joe Manchin for refusing to support the $3.5 trillion welfare spending bill and “progressive” wish list she and her fellow Squaddies want to force through Congress.
In many ways, there are some striking similarities between Alexandria and a spoiled five-year-old. She just assumes that she will always get what she wants. And because Nancy Pelosi always caves to her and the Squad, Alexandria doesn’t know how to deal with someone who refuses to indulge her every demand.
Which is why she just can’t quit whining about Joe Manchin.
On Thursday, Ocasio-Cortez went on yet another Twitter rant over Manchin, complaining to her followers about Manchin and giving him a new nickname that, apparently was supposed to be an insult.
Calling him a “Conservative Dem,” Ocasio Cortez whined that Manchin’s position is you can either feed your kids or recover from a C-section or have childcare, but you can’t have all three. And if you want all three you must be “entitled and lazy.”
No, forcing taxpayers to pay for all three makes you a parasite who expects every aspect of your life to be funded by others.
Alexandria’s tantrum was prompted by Manchin suggesting paring down the over-bloated spending bill to $1.5 trillion (still an unsustainable price tag) by suggesting the far-Left caucus choose only one of the three massive entitlements included in the bill – expanded child tax credits, paid family medical leave or subsidies for child care.
This makes him a “Conservative Dem?” A Conservative would tell Ocasio-Cortez to take a hike and demand none of the three entitlements be on the table.
But Alexandria is like a spoiled child. She doesn’t know the meaning of the word “compromise” or “cooperation.” Those are the toys she wants and unless you let her get all three toys, she will flop down on the floor of the Walmart and scream bloody murder until you do.
Senator Manchin explained to reporters that these welfare provisions would generate an “entitlement mentality” which is why he opposes them.
Well, there’s that, but there’s also the reality that welfare programs like these, once implemented, will never end – driving up the debt and eventually increasing taxes, not just on “the rich,” but on every single American taxpayer.
