(PresidentialInsider.com)- A federal judge in Missouri sided with the Biden Justice Department last week against the College of the Ozarks, a small Christian college in Point Lookout, Missouri.
At the heart of the case was the President’s January executive order that prevented schools from barring students from using the bathroom of their “preferred gender.” This executive order was one of the many President Biden signed on his very first day in office.
The College of the Ozarks sued the Biden Administration in April arguing that the government cannot force a private religious institution to allow biological males to share private spaces set aside for women – including bathrooms and dorm rooms.
By refusing to comply with the executive order, the College of the Ozarks faces a six-figure fine.
The judge in the case, Roseann Ketchmark of the District Court of Western Missouri was appointed to the bench in 2015 by then-President Barack Obama.
The College is expected to appeal the Ketchmark’s ruling.
Expressing disappointment at the ruling, the college’s Chief Communications Officer Valerie Coleman vowed “We will continue to fight.”
Several states have already enacted laws protecting female student athletes by prohibiting biological males from competing in girls’ sports. Twenty-five additional states are also proposing new legislation to restrict girls’ sports to biological females.
During an ABC townhall in October 2020, Joe Biden defended the idea of an 8-year-old deciding to be transgender:

After the judge’s ruling, senior counsel Julie Marie Blake from the Alliance Defending Freedom, (which filed the suit on behalf of the College of the Ozarks) accused the Biden Administration of overreach – saying this executive order not only victimizes women, but also people of faith. She said the Biden Administration is gutting the legal protections of religious freedom.
Biden’s promotion of transgender issues and his assault on religious liberties are some of his controversial positions that has brought him under fire with many US Catholic Bishops. Likewise, it was also cited in a letter from over 4,000 members of the Notre Dame community to Notre Dame’s president as justification for no permitting Biden to deliver the commencement address on May 23.
