(PresidentialInsider.com)- It was reported last week that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been “monitoring” the US convoys of trucks making their way to Washington in the lead up to President Biden’s State of the Union Address.
But she’s not the only one.
According to press secretary Jen Psaki, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security were also monitoring the convoys and were working with state and local law enforcement to “continuously assess the threat environment.”
These people are terrified of ordinary American citizens.
Psaki said that they were using “enhanced intelligence sharing” for these truckers and have a “critical incident response plan” in place for the US Capitol. She added that a “regional security assessment and simulation experiment” was used to develop “data-driven recommendations to bolster regional security.”

Meanwhile, “out of an abundance of caution,” the US Capitol Police began re-installing the fencing around the Capitol that was in place for the first six months of last year.
Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said last week that the USCP and the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency have also asked outside law enforcement agencies as well as the National Guard to be in place to protect the Capitol complex during President Biden’s March 1 address.
The Pentagon approved the Capitol Police’s request and will be deploying as many as 700 members of the National Guard. These guardsmen, however, will not be armed nor will they serve in a law enforcement capacity. Instead, they’ll assist at designated traffic posts and select points of entry to the Capitol building.
But on Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Twitter that he rejected the Biden administration’s request that the Florida National Guard travel to Washington to participate in this staged performative drama during President Biden’s speech.
Christina Pushaw, Governor DeSantis’ spokeswoman later added that the US National Guard should never be “misused for political purposes.”
In an email to the Washington Examiner, Pushaw said the Florida Guard deployed to DC in January 2021 were forced to sleep in freezing parking garages “all for a regime spectacle,” adding, “Our dedicated, patriotic service members deserve better.”
