(AmericanPoliticalDaily.Com)- If you thought we’d seen the back of former First Lady Michelle Obama, think again! Obama announced on Friday that she would host a new TV show on PBS aimed squarely at…children.
“Mondays with Michelle Obama” will premiere on April 20th and will see Obama reading children’s books on TV. The idea is that, with children at home from school because of the Chinese coronavirus, the former first lady can use the opportunity to read stories to children who are stuck at home.
“I’m thrilled to share some of my favorite children’s books and give kids an opportunity to practice their reading (while giving families a much-needed break!” she tweeted.

Many will appreciate the gesture, but more sceptical onlookers may notice that it comes at a difficult political time for the Democrats. While President Trump is overseeing the government’s response to the coronavirus, presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is stuck at home struggling to finish sentences on live TV interviews.
Obama’s interjection comes at a time when the Democrats need friendly faces to help regain trust. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is arguably an even bigger face for the Democrats than Joe Biden, and she’s the most unlikeable out of the lot!
The Obamas have come out of hibernation recently. The former president refused to endorse any candidate in the race and even reportedly told Joe Biden “you don’t need to do this,” but after Senator Bernie Sanders dropped out of the race, he threw his weight behind Biden. As the party conventions near, the presidential campaigns are kicking into gear and the Obamas could play a large role in that campaign.

In his endorsement video, Obama gushed, “Choosing Joe to be my vice president was one of the best decisions I ever made, and he became a close friend, and I believe Joe has all the qualities we need as a president right now.”
