Liberal Law Professor Says Conservative Supreme Court Justice Must Resign

( The far-Left Democrats have been demanding that the Supreme Court be “expanded” so that Democrat Joe Biden can “pack” the Court with far-Left justices in order to get rid of the conservative majority currently on the Court.

For Democrats, if the rules get in the way winning the game, one simply changes the rules of the game.

Naturally the corporate news media, the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, is happy to play its part by fearmongering over the dangers of having those icky conservative Justices in the majority.

And this week, the Guardian published an op-ed by Amherst College professor of law Lawrence Douglas demanding that Justice Amy Coney Barrett should step down in order to “protect the supreme court’s legitimacy.”

Douglas is the Guardian’s go-to anti-conservative demagogue who has been consistently advocating for “court packing” for over a year. He also penned a breathless “what if” op-ed in July 2020 musing about what would happen if President Trump refuses to leave office if he loses the election.

He’s pretty much Laurence Tribe without the embarrassing Harvard connection.

And boy, does he despise the conservatives on the Supreme Court.

What got Douglas’ knickers in a twist this week is Amy Coney Barrett attacked the press while speaking at the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center.

Douglas makes a point of letting his readers know that the McConnell Center is named after the same Mitch McConnell that rammed through Coney Barrett’s nomination before the 2020 election. You know, the same Mitch McConnell that refused to hold confirmation hearings for Merrick Garland before the 2016 election.

One can almost imagine Douglas standing before a bulletin board covered with photographs and maps, twisting threads from one push-pin to the next in order to connect the dots on a grand conspiracy that led to Amy Coney Barrett speaking at the McConnell Center at the University of Louisville, then shouting “Aha!!!”

The op-ed is silly – as is Douglas’ conclusion that Coney Barrett must resign because she was confirmed before an election.

But just as the media won’t shut up about the “spooky” shadow docket, this is all a part of the effort to tenderize the public so they change their mind on the absolutely ridiculous Democrat plot to “reform” and “pack” the Supreme Court.
