“Key Witness” Has Bad News For Pelosi’s January 6th Witch Hunt

(PresidentialInsider.com)- During his five-hour interview with the January 6 select committee investigators, former Trump Pentagon chief of staff Kash Patel said they asked him more questions about the Afghanistan withdrawal than the Capitol riot.

Patel made this laughable revelation during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast last Wednesday.

Patel was initially subpoenaed by the committee back in September along with former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows, longtime Trump aide Dan Scavino, and podcaster Steve Bannon. Unlike Meadows and Bannon who refused to testify, Patel said at the time that he would cooperate with the committee.

Patel told Solomon that he provided the committee a detailed timeline of every step the Pentagon took to prepare for the January 6 “Stop the Steal” rally along with every offer of help it made to Congress, and when the Pentagon deployed the National Guard troops during the riot.

But the congressional investigators didn’t seem interested in what Patel provided. He told Solomon that he answered every question they asked in the five hours he met with them and not once did they bring up the details he submitted. Patel said he was fully prepared to go into every detail with them, but “we scarcely spent a minute or two” on any of it.

Instead, the congressional investigators wanted to spend their time discussing Biden’s bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan and the plans the Trump administration had in place to end the war. They also wanted to know about the US force posture in Somalia.

Patel told Solomon that he wanted the transcript of his testimony publicly released, adding that they “spent less time talking about January 6 and more time talking about Afghanistan, Somalia, and other matters.”

What a clown show.

Patel, who formerly worked with Republican Congressman Devin Nunes, was instrumental in exposing the RussiaGate hoax. He also discussed with Solomon his views of Democrat members of the House Intelligence Committee, most notably Adam Schiff, who is also on the January 6 committee, and Eric Swalwell.
