(PresidentialInsider.com)- On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris faced backlash for a very, very badly-times tweet.
While the world watched in horror as Russian soldiers continue their invasion of Ukraine, potentially plunging Europe into a nuclear crisis, the vice president tried lecturing the world about the “Equality Act.”
“Let’s send the Equality Act to President Biden’s desk,” she wrote on her Twitter.

“We must increase protections for LGBTQ+ Americans across the country. The onslaught of state bills targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong,” she said, without providing evidence that any state bills are “targeting” gay people in America.
Harris’ disingenuous comments were not only an unfair characterization of bills being passed by Republican legislatures that stop the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools – among other things – but the tweet showed that she really doesn’t have a good understanding of her priorities right now.
As she published the tweet, reports showed how Russian forces were attacking one of the largest nuclear facilities in Europe, Zaporizhzhya.
Let’s be honest, there are more important pressing issues right here at home, too. Hasn’t Kamala Harris seen how gas prices have exceeded $6 and even $7 in her home state of California?
But she wants to talk about non-existent discrimination against gay people in state legislatures?
Come on.
