(PresidentialInsider.com)- Democrats have chastised White House press secretary Jen Psaki for criticizing the Biden administration’s management of inflation in the United States.
Speaking on the “Pod Save America” on Thursday, Psaki said that we’ve become a bit cannibalistic about our ideas and whether they’re good enough or whether we’re passing them quickly enough. She indicated that some Democrats seeking reelection this year might want to separate themselves from Vice President Joe Biden and some of his administration’s initiatives, such as those aimed at slowing inflation.
In a Quinnipiac survey released Wednesday, Biden’s job approval rating was only 33%.
According to the Department of Labor, wholesale prices grew 11.2 percent in March compared to the same month last year and 1.1 percent month over month from February.
But Psaki has also criticized Republicans on the topic of inflation, claiming that they have no answer to the problem either.
The press secretary said there’s nothing in the cupboard on the other side. The Republicans have no strategy. Everyone can all agree that inflation is a serious issue, but they have no plan to address it. It needs to be repeated more often. Psaki believes it would be beneficial to the outcome of the midterms.
Democrats in Congress made their opinions known on the issue this week.
