Harrison Ford Shocked By New De – Aging Tech In New Indiana Jones Movie

80-year-old Harrison Ford’s next “Indiana Jones” movie, the fifth one, is said to have cutting-edge “de-aging” technology that will make him look significantly younger. Thanks to technology, the renowned actor will soon look to be half his age, providing fans with a nostalgic experience. According to The Hollywood Reporter, director James Mangold created a scene where viewers can witness Ford’s peak.

The outcome is reportedly astonishing and harkens back to the franchise film that many fans are familiar with and adore. Hungry fans need only look to the movie’s opening sequence for a taste of nostalgia.

The de-aged Ford will battle the Nazis in a castle in 1944. Fans will see a much younger version of Ford on the big screen even though the film is brand-new. The actor’s original jacket from the 1981 movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and his archival footage were used to achieve the effect.

Ford has emphasized that the new and improved technology will astound viewers and reassured his fan base that it is not the allegedly subpar technology used by De Niro in “The Irishman” or Kurt Russell in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The actor stated, “This is the first time I’ve seen the technology where I believe it.” Ford said it’s a little unsettling.

“It works, but I’m not sure I even want to know how it does,” he quipped. The source said that the opening scene of the film, which shows the well-known actor going through a technique to slow down the aging process, will fast-forward to 1969 and show Ford in his current 80-year-old form.

THR claims that’s when most of the action takes place. The audience should experience “an adrenaline burst,” according to Mangold. For the audience to “actually experience the buccaneering spirit of those early days and not only perceive the transition between the ’40s and ’60s as an academic illusion.

Kathleen Kennedy, the film’s producer, reportedly said she hoped viewers would watch the opening scene and exclaim, “Oh my God, they just found lost footage.” The theatrical debut of “Indy 5” is slated for June 30, 2023.
