GOP Senator Says Antifa Threatened His Wife

( Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri described on Monday night how a gang of far-left extremists and Antifa activists descended on his home in Washington, D.C., while he was in Missouri and threatened his wife and newborn daughter.

In a tweet, he explained how the violent Democrats and anti-Republican activists “screamed threats, vandalized, and tried to pound open our door.”

See how the violence doesn’t even end after they technically win an election?

“Let me be clear: My family & I will not be intimidated by leftwing violence,” he added.

Left-wing media outlets described the incident very differently, however, despite video footage showing how violent the activists were. Outlets appeared to be taking the word of ShutDown DC, the group responsible for the protest, that they simply engaged in a peaceful vigil outside of his home.

Hawley responded to the claim, reminding his followers that a “vigil” is not the same as “screaming threats through bullhorns, vandalizing property, pounding on the doors of homes and terrorizing innocent people and children.”

No, they certainly are not the same at all.

Antifa activists and Shut Down DC were angry that Senator Hawley is one of roughly a dozen Republican Senators who announced that they would object to the certification of the Electoral College votes. Hawley and others, including Senator Ted Cruz, oppose the certification of the results owing to the overwhelming evidence of widespread election fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

It’s a decision that has angered both Democrats and RINOs alike. So Shut Down DC are in…great…company.
