Gavin Newsom Just Joined Trump’s Truth Social

( To expose “Republican lies,” California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Thursday that he had joined former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform.

Newsom stated in a video clip that he knows everyone is on the platform in quest of the truth. But in reality, he hasn’t been able to come up with a straightforward explanation for why we have a red state murder problem.

Eight of the top 10 states with the greatest murder rates, according to Newsom, are governed by Republicans.

As he put it, the question is easy to answer. What regulations and practices are in those states causing so much bloodshed?

His appointment comes when many progressive-run communities in California are facing criticism for their rising crime rates and “soft-on-crime” approaches.

Voters in San Francisco removed the leftist district attorney Chesa Boudin from office last week. In response to his liberal policies, Los Angeles district attorney George Gascon is also the target of a recall campaign.

Newsom described Boudin’s recall as “expected” and claimed it wasn’t an “arbiter of something farther reaching” in an interview from last week. People want the streets to be cleaned up, period. He believes this is especially true of San Francisco.

“They want the streets to be made clean. In contrast to the chaos they perceive on the streets, they desire a sense of order,” said Newsom.

Newsom says crime is a part of it, but there is a lot of overlap between those issues, such as mental health, open drug use, drug dealing, and “the stench in some parts of the city.”

All San Francisco’s elected officials, he claimed, bear some responsibility for the status of the city’s streets, but “in particular the district attorney.”

When the host asked if Democrats are to blame for problems like homelessness in San Francisco and other places, he replied, “Absolutely,” but added that both Democratic and Republican mayors share the blame for these problems in cities around the nation.

Focusing on our shortcomings rather than just being unique and unusual is appropriate, he stated.

Following the murder of two El Monte police officers by a suspect on probation, LA DA Gascon came under pressure this week. He had admitted to having a firearm as a felon and received a light term as part of a plea agreement.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Mississippi has the nation’s highest homicide death rate, followed by Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Illinois, and New Mexico. 31st on the list was California.
