(PresidentialInsider.com)- Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, recently admitted that he puts on a mask whenever he’s around people he doesn’t know, just to make it appear as though he wears a mask all the time.
Politico reported last week, citing Washington Post columnist Sally Quinn, that Fauci attended a packed book launch party for Jonathan Carl on Tuesday. And while he was there, Fauci was seen not wearing a mask, though managed to dodge paparazzi who tried to get a photograph of him breaking his own advice.
Quinn told Politico that she spoke to Fauci about the matter.
“I said, ‘You seem pretty ambivalent about your mask’ because no one else was wearing one,” she told the outlet.
“He said, ‘I just decided that if anyone came up that I didn’t know, I would put my mask on,’” she continued.
Interesting.
Quinn did insist that Fauci was being safe, in the sense that everybody at the party knew that he had obviously been vaccinated.
However, with so many breakout cases and with public health officials themselves admitting that the vaccine doesn’t prevent people from spreading or contracting the virus, it makes you wonder why Fauci wouldn’t want to wear a mask at all times.
If masks work and the vaccine doesn’t, why would Fauci want to risk putting himself and others in danger?
The fact that Fauci pretends to wear a mask all the time by putting it on around new people isn’t the only controversy here, though.
Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, noted over the weekend how Fauci seems to think it’s fine not to wear a mask in public, while also saying it’s “too soon” to know whether people can safely celebrate the holidays with their families.
Fauci went maskless to a high-end DC book party, but thought it was “too soon to tell” if you could have Christmas with your family.
