(PresidentialInsider.com)- A new report just revealed how Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief COVID-19 adviser, took part in private phone calls with researchers in connection to the COVID-19 pandemic. If true, it stands in stark contrast to claims by the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases that he didn’t have any links to the Chinese lab, and that there was no American Gain of Function Research funding to China.
The National Pulse revealed how Fauci said during a Council on Foreign Relations event in February 2020 that he was working with China with regards to information about the origins of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Remember, this was right at the very beginning of the pandemic and before it became clear to the world that this virus was very much leaving China and headed for the rest of the world.
Fauci was asked that month whether he believes the information coming out of China and whether he trusts the Chinese government to provide accurate information and data.
“Today, I do, for the following reason,” he said, before going on to claim that the Chinese Communist Party was allowing doctors and researchers to speak freely about the virus.
He claims that Chinese officials were “more than adamant” about punishing people who were holding back information rather than those who were actively willing to provide it. He also claimed that there was a hesitancy and reluctance from scientists in the early days to discuss the virus, but that it was changing.
Incredibly, Fauci claimed that private phone calls with researchers in China gave him confidence about the information coming out of China.
“So, there was a phase early on where the people who I knew – people that I’ve dealt with for years – who were very concerned about speaking out publicly, they would speak to me over the phone, but they wouldn’t speak publicly,” he said. Fauci added that those people he spoke to went on to believe that the Chinese government was allowing them “free rein” to be completely honest about the origins of the virus.
But to this day, Western scientists have had limited access to China and virtually zero access to the Wuhan laboratory where the virus is believed to have originated.
The private phone calls are also at odds with claims by Fauci that he has never collaborated with Chinese scientists and researchers.
How will he get around this one?
