(AmericanPoliticalDaily.Com)- After several positive meetings with Democrats in the White House, showing the president’s willingness to work on a bipartisan basis during the time of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, the president offered some polite advice to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Whitmer has been at the center of a huge controversy over the excessive lockdown measures she put in place in her state. The Democratic Governor ignored votes by the State House of Representatives and issued three new executive orders that expanded her powers as governor and extended the stay-at-home order for another month.
Following several protests attended by thousands of people, President Donald Trump stepped in to give her some advice.
“The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire,” he said. “These are very good people, but they are angry.”
The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal.

“They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal,” he added.
Whitmer’s refusal to back down on her social distancing policy has been widely criticized as unnecessary and excessive. Under the order, people were for many weeks banned from maintaining the lawns and performing garden work and ordered to stay at home except for shopping for groceries.
When people did shop for groceries, items that Whitmer deemed non-essential were banned from sale. Images of stores with red tape banning people from entering aisles that sold seeds and gardening products went viral on Twitter.
Now, Whitmer is battling against Republicans in the House of Representatives who recently voted to sue her over her overreach.
On Thursday, one of the biggest rallies yet took place in Michigan. The “American Patriot Rally” was organized by Michigan United for Liberty and saw protestors outside the State capitol, some armed, demanding that the Michigan governor walk back her lockdown measures.

Crowds got so big and so brave, they moved inside the Capitol building and attempted to reach the House floor.
Maybe it’s time she listened to Trump’s advice…
