China just Developed A Plane That Can Go 7.000 MPH

( China is reportedly developing a new hypersonic plane designed to fly between New York and Beijing in just one hour. The new so-called “winged rocket” will fly as fast as 7,000 miles per hour, and if that wasn’t impressive enough, it should apparently be ready to take flight by 2024.

Testing of the new plane, which could transform logistics and passenger air travel if the technology became widely adopted, is expected to begin sometime in 2023.

The plane is reportedly being developed by Space Transportation with the goal of performing a full point-to-point flight before the end of the 2020s. The company even released a promotional video showing how the plane works – and it’s remarkably different to airplanes as know them.

In the clip, the rocket can be seen detaching from its wings after it launches, with the wings and rocket boosters landing back onto the launch pad. Then, when the rocket arrives at its destination, it lands by unfolding three legs at its rear. It means it behaves more like a rocket than it does a plane, and lands in a similar fashion to the reusable rockets designed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

Just take a look at this:

The development comes less than a year after the Chinese government put forward plans for a new aircraft that would transport around 10 people anywhere on the planet within an hour.

This new rocket is 148 feet long, with the final product expected to be larger than a Boeing 737 airplane, with twin engines mounted to the frame of the body.

Hopefully, the United States is working on something similarly quick, or China could find itself well ahead of the Western world when it comes to international travel. And within a decade, too.
