The U.S. and Ukraine claim that more armored vehicles, particularly tanks, will be necessary for Kyiv to gain the upper hand. But the Biden Administration has not yet delivered what is considered to be the best tank of all time, the M1 Abrams.
Tanks have been specifically requested by President Zelenskyy from allies in the West. The more than cheeky Zelenskyy recently informed western defense ministers at Ramstein Air Base that hundreds of thanks are not hundreds of tanks.
Reports reveal that so far, 14 Challenger 2 tanks will be sent from the U.K. and Poland said it would be willing to send some of its Leopard 2 tanks. But Germany said it would only send Leopard 2 tanks if the United States sent M1 Abrams tanks.
The United States announced a new aid package for Ukraine that will include Bradley fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.

Top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the plan to arm Ukraine with tanks in anticipation of the country’s ground thawing in the spring was disastrous. Peskov stated that the plan exaggerates the value it will bring to the Ukrainian army.
Peskov remarked that the tanks burn just like all the others.
