Although disagreements between presidents and their vice presidents are expected, a new biography of Joe Biden’s administration reveals that Kamala and Joe Biden’s disagreements appeared much earlier than in previous administrations.
The vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, is described as annoying and “awork in progress” in a new book by author Chris Whipple, who also claims that Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff had complained about his wife’s policy portfolio, which included the southern border crisis.
Whipple’s book claims that Biden was displeased with Harris because she had asked him to allow her to work on voting rights issues, while he had not requested anything of her that he didn’t do as Obama’s veep, yet she whined. This friction came much earlier than problems between past presidents and their vice presidents.
Before Gore’s defeat to George W. Bush in the 2000 election, the vice president and the president gave the impression that they were friendly. But Gore thought that the Monica Lewinsky scandal partly caused his defeat. At the tail end of that presidency, “Scooter Libby” became a point of contention for Vice President Dick Cheney. I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, a Dick Cheney advisor, was found guilty in 2007 of obstruction of justice and perjury in connection with the 2003 identity leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame.
George W. Bush turned down Cheney’s request for a Libby pardon and decided to commute his sentence instead. Rumor has it that Cheney never forgave Bush. Years later, President Trump finally granted Libby’s pardon. After Barack Obama endorsed Hillary, Biden kind of sulked, but that didn’t even come out until much later. We are all aware of what happened with Pence and Trump after that.
Jesse Watters, the Fox News host, asserted that Biden should not have been the only person in Biden’s position to have expected more from Harris as vice president. Harris seems to be a “blueprint example of a terrible hire made for noble but naive reasons,” according to “Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld.
“She is the same as Sam Brinton, right? The nuclear scientist who stole luggage or [Sam] Bankman-Fried, the fraudster, whose egregious incompetence was covered or protected by wokeness,” said Gutfeld. In a presidential debate, Harris went so far as to call Biden a racist, yet he still picked her as his running mate, according to Gutfeld. “So that’s the result you get.”
When you choose being woke over qualifications, you should expect nothing less.
