AOC Mocks Crime Surge Discovery, Pretends It’s All Just “Hysteria”

( The Congresswoman who hysterically claimed that Texas Senator Ted Cruz tried to get her murdered on January 6 is dismissing concerns over skyrocketing violent crime in American cities, claiming it is nothing but hysteria.

Yes, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who believes her experience hiding in a separate building during a three-hour melee at the Capitol was “like serving in war,” can’t believe Americans are falling for hype and hysteria over spiking murder rates.

Appearing with fellow “Squad” member Jamaal Bowman, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that the media is perpetrating “this idea” that violent crime is surging.

In other words, don’t believe your lying eyes, you hysterics!

Adding the disclaimer that crime is bad, Ocasio-Cortez explained “But I also want to make sure that this hysteria, you know, that this doesn’t drive a hysteria and that we look at these numbers in context so that we can make responsible decisions about what to allocate in that context.”

To translate, Ocasio-Cortez is afraid that people will react negatively to the very real increases in violent crime in major American cities, and their reaction might damage the radical Left’s efforts to defund the police.

Make no mistake about it. “Reallocate” is “Defund the Police” by another term.

She wasn’t done.

Saying she agreed with her radical buddy Bowman, Ocasio-Cortez went on to say she really does believe “we need to reallocate resources away” and accuses the media of perpetrating the “idea of crime wave, crime wave, crime wave, right?”

To translate, the increased crime in Democrat-run cities is getting media attention and making Americans reject the idea of reallocating resources away from the police, since police are the ones who actually fight crime.

Boiling it down, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s fantasy world of unicorns and rainbows and a police-free society has run headlong into reality.

Rather than acknowledge that defunding or reducing funding to police is leading to astronomical increases in crime, Ocasio-Cortez dismisses it as hype and hysteria.

Ocasio-Cortez’s own district is suffering under this current spike in violent crime. Yet their own representative in Congress only cares about advancing her radical agenda. The lives affected by the violence aren’t even a blip on her radar.
