(PresidentialInsider.com)- Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos has spent years pandering to the far left, only to be turned on by the movement he helped create.
On Tuesday, far-left New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit out at the world’s richest men for the poor conditions his employees endure while working at the company he founded. Her comments came after Bezos thanked Amazon workers for paying for his Blue Origins rocket ship launch into space that fired him, his brother, and some other lucky Americans into the edge of space.
Taking to Twitter, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez slammed Bezos, saying that Amazon workers paid for the space flight through “lower wages, union-busting, a frenzied and inhumane workplace, and delivery drivers not having health insurance during a pandemic.”
Yes, Amazon workers did pay for this – with lower wages, union busting, a frenzied and inhumane workplace, and delivery drivers not having health insurance during a pandemic.
And Amazon customers are paying for it with Amazon abusing their market power to hurt small business. https://t.co/7qMgpe8u0M

Bezos’ first manned launch of a space craft could be the beginning of a brand new era of commercial spaceflight. It was the second recent launch of a manned space craft from a private space exploration company, with Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson traveling to the edge of space on his own rocket just days earlier.
But instead of inspiring the world to develop new technology to explore space, Bezos’ launch proved controversial with both left-wing and right-wing politicians and pundits. Amazon has faced criticism for the way it treats its workers for years. In April this year, Amazon reportedly illegally fired two workers after they criticized the company’s practices.
Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court also ruled this month that Amazon must pay warehouse works in the state for the time that they spend going through security screenings before and after entering work. Amazon had tried to avoid paying workers for the time, despite it being necessary to begin their work day.
Many more rulings like this can be expected in the coming months and years as class-action lawsuits play out in courtrooms all over the country.
Maybe AOC has a point just this once…
