After suffering a software glitch, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has gone into what’s called ‘safe mode’ in which it is no longer operating. The team who operates back here on Earth say that they don’t believe the glitch has damaged the science systems onboard and the telescope appears stable, so they remain optimistic that that they will be able to return it to normal operations, which is good news, because the Hubble Telescope is kind of a legend.
