Abortion “Witness” Let’s Democrat Lawmaker “Have It”

(PresidentialInsider.com)- The Democrats believe that they can change their dismal poll numbers by stoking outrage over issues such as abortion and the Supreme Court, but so far, this strategy has not been successful.

A Democrat who was questioning a pro-life witness at a recent hearing in Congress was able to be stopped in her tracks by the witness by asking her a fundamental question.

He stumbled over his words and was unable to provide a response, so he merely reclaimed his time and continued on.

The hearing took place only a few short weeks after it was discovered that the Supreme Court was on the verge of overturning Roe v. Wade, thereby putting an end to the constitutional right to have an abortion, as revealed by a majority draft opinion that was stolen from the court. Last week in the Senate, an attempt to pass legislation that would have codified national abortion rights was unsuccessful.

During the course of the hearing, Catherine Glenn Foster, President and Chief Executive Officer of Americans United for Life, stated that abortions are “basically unjust” and “violent.”

She was being questioned by Jamie Raskin, a Democrat congressman from Maryland.

Raskin: [This witness] is candidly and openly calling for a nationwide ban on all abortions with no exceptions for rape or incest. And if I’ve got that wrong, I would invite Miss Foster to correct me. Do I have it wrong, yes or no?

Foster: Ummm. If we added rape and incest exceptions, would you vote for it?
The video cut to Rankin, looking a bit like a clown, waving his hand in the air dismissively as he mumbled, “o,o,o,okay (garbled) I reclaim my time… of course… Uhhhhh…”
Foster, of course, asked the pertinent question because as the pro-abortion people try to frame the anti-abortionists as strident and unyielding, asking that question reveals that they are the strident ones. They want abortion on demand up until the time of birth.
Abortions for pregnancies resulting from rape and incest are not what they are after.
